With deep regret I announce the passing of my brother in spirit.
Kal Christopher May passed on the twelfth of May 2010.
Many of you may have known him as Stonewalker or Bree.
He was known as a person who contributed his spirit in the founding of Circle Sanctuary in Wisconsin and ACE in Cleveland, Ohio.
He brought one of the first of the holy men from India to America in the 1970's.
Kal built a stone circle of heavy river rock when his left arm was severely damaged in a road accident. Outside of that circle he built a
pet cemetery where he buried many fallen squirrels, cats and birds.
Love and caring ran deep within his soul. I know. I was his student of twenty five years.
Unfortunately, we have no photographs of him.
Kal is buried at Holy Cross cemetery in the Cleveland Ohio area. Sec. 30 Lot 115 Grave 1.
He is survived by his mother and aunt residing in the Cleveland area.
He converted to the Greek Orthodoxy on his death bed.

ST. THERESA OF LUCIO By Barbara Cannode I am Lutheran, and I believe that God sends people, spirits, and of course angels to guide and protect us. December 20,1997 our house burned a total loss. In our basement hung St. Theresa of Lucio (Little Flower). As a Lutheran I do not pray through the Saints, however I love her and know in my heart she along with God's help are the reason we are here today. After the fire Dan, my husband went back to the house and there she was hanging without any damage not even water damage, then he went to the book shelf and removed our Bibles, yes you are right, no damage, they too were in perfect condition. I thank God every time I look at my husband, my children, and my grand daughter, that were visiting for the birth of Jesus. No gifts were left except, the greatest gift of all life. All six of us stayed with another one of our daughters for the holiday. It was the best Christmas I have ever had. Praise be to God. St. Theresa she has always been in my life, my Grandfather bought her form a traveling salesman in the early 1900's, because he thought she was so beautiful, then passed to my father and to me. BELIEVE IN THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE IMPOSSIBLE REALIZE WHAT WE FEED OUR BRAIN Our health is basically dependant on our thoughts and actions. The mind is the most powerful machine on earth. It is a computer that stores every bit of information it hears, every bit of information we see and every bit of each thought that we feed it. Our brain acts upon these bits of information and causes them to materialize in our life. RECOGNIZE STRESS FACTORS The most important factor involving our health and our way of thinking is stress, both at work and at home. The stress at home is the major denominator in this equation. Stress causes high blood pressure, causes our heart to work overtime, taxes our lungs, our digestive system and as well as every cell in our body. CHANGE Change our way of thinking. Change our attitude. Change our dietary habits and instill pride and positive thinking in our lives. Dismiss the negative thoughts that we might have developed since we became ill. Change the way we look at others, especially those we don’t like. By harboring the hate we feel towards others, we are refusing to allow the change necessary to affect our way of thinking. PURGE OUR BODY The average adult has over 16 pounds of waste in our intestines. Depending on our weight, many of us have upward of 25 pounds of unnecessary waste in our system. To cleanse the waste and toxins from our system is a simple task but it takes dedication. Lots of water (not tap water) Tap water only adds toxins to our system. Cantaloupes, Broccoli, Cauliflower, nuts, berries and home-made grape juice including the seeds made from a food processors. Include as many berries and seeds in your diet as possible. CHANGE OUR WAY OF THINKING Use positive affirmations daily: “I am too blessed to be stressed,’ ‘This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.’ ‘I am an infinite part of the universe and I am a part of God’”. Tell someone you love them, Hug someone. A hug is a kiss from God and a blessing from the angels. 6. CHANGE EATING HABITS 7. RECOGNIZE CONDITIONS THAT NEED ATTENTION TALK TO YOUR BODY. The brain works much better on things that it hears. Positive statements will have more power and a stronger effect on your body that a thought. Be specific. A thought can get tangled up in a negative situation and confuse your brain. TOUCH YOUR BODY When your heart is racing, sit down and pat your heart gently and slowly and tell it to slow down and return to normal. ATTACK THE CONDITIONS THAT EXIST IN YOUR BODY By focusing on the negative conditions in your body one at a time you direct more energy to the area that needs attention. LESSON FOR THE DAY Author unknown An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. 'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.' The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'
'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.' For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.' Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
So, to all of your friends, to have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path! ONE OF THE BEST STORIES. . .
As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.
Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big 'F' at the top of his papers.
At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.
Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners.... He is a joy to be around...'
His second grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle.'
His third grade teacher wrote, 'His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest, and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken.'
Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes sleeps in class.'
By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, 'Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to.'
After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her 'teacher's pets.'
A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.
Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in life.
Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he had ever had in his whole life.
Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer.... The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD.
The story does not end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. Moreover, she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together.
They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, 'Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference.'
Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, 'Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you.'

My Personal Encounter with Angels and a Miraculous Healing from God by Victoria Ring, a Servant of Jesus Christ Who would have believed that purchasing a hot tub would lead to my near-death experience, an encounter with angels and a life-changing event – but it did. In mid-December 2007 I purchased a hot tub and had it installed on my deck. I had never had a hot tub before and I fell in love with it the first time I used it. I could do water aerobics' and get 30 minutes of exercise every day. I felt terrific when I used the hot tub and planned to make it a regular part of my daily life. However, a few hours after I used the hot tub for the third time I developed flu-like symptoms. I layed down to take a nap and woke up with a very high fever. I passed my fever off as the common cold, took some cold medicine and went back to bed. During this time, a neighbor called me (which I do not remember) and she later told me that I was talking "very odd." She suggested that I go to the doctor. My Personal Encounter with Angels and a Miraculous Healing from God by Victoria Ring, a Servant of Jesus Christ Although I don't remember this, due to my high fever, I managed to call the next door neighbor and she took me to see my doctor on an emergency visit since I was too weak to drive myself. My doctor discovered that my temperature was 104-degrees and my lungs were rapidly filling up with fluid. He told me to go to the emergency room immediately – but I went home and fell back into bed. (This is only one example of where God intervened. Most people would have a fried brain running a 104-degree temperature for several days, but I survived with absolutely no brain damage or brain stroke.) The next day, December 21, 2007, I was not getting any better so I decided to go to the emergency room. I called another friend and she took me. I still did not think I was as sick as I was, but as soon as I entered the emergency room at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio the security guard got up and put me in a wheelchair. He also took me to the admitting room without any wait time (which I found to be strange.) During admission I remember telling the intake worker, "I hope I am not taking up your time unnecessarily." The intake worker said, "You have got to be kidding. We have people come here for a hang nail – but lady – you are very sick." I don't remember much after that because I went into a coma for three weeks. I missed Christmas and New Years and woke up on January 16, 2008. This is when I discovered that my kidneys had shut down 95%. I had respiratory failure due to Legionnaire's Disease (caused by a reaction between my diabetes and the chemicals in the hot tub) and the doctor reported to my primary care physician (Dr. Douglas Wallace) that I was expected to die within hours. To make matters worse, on January 3, 2008, I contracted MRSA (Methicillin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus) as well as Hepatitis-B from the hospital staff spreading it from patient to patient. Although the Hepatitis-B was treatable, the MRSA alone could have killed me within 24-hours. However, I now know that God took me to this level of near- death to demonstrate His intervention. There was no medical reason for me to live and this provided a true witness to all the physicians and medical staff of His power when I came out of the coma and lived Two Angels Appeared Just before I came out of the coma I looked above me and two angels appeared. They were visible from their torso up and they were touching shoulder to shoulder. The angels were pure white, gleaming and shining as bright as the sun on freshly fallen snow. I was not blinded by the light because it was so pure and perfect. The angels were men. They did not have wings but had bodies like you and I. The only difference was that everything around them was pure white. Their hair. Their skin. Their clothes. Everything was shining a beautiful pure white that comforted me. I felt no fear. Just a peace like no other. I remember smiling at them and suddenly I woke up from the coma. As soon as I woke up I heard doctors and nurses yelling "This is a phenomenon. She's alive." Then suddenly I was surrounded by a mass of people passing me from gurnee to gurnee, cleaning me up, turning me every which way but loose – and I don't know what else since I was still in a daze. People also started asking me silly questions like who the President was and the date. Later a nurse said I replied: "Who cares?" and everyone got a chuckle out of my response. The next thing I knew was being transferred to the 9th floor which is the intermediate intensive care at Grant Hospital. People told me that it was 2008 and I had a hard time accepting that since I entered the emergency room in 2007. I do remember people trying to write the date on a white board but whatever they wrote looked like the scribbling of a child. I also was unable to talk because they had not inserted a piece in my tract that allowed my voice to be heard. For the first several days I had to communicate with motion because I was still too weak to write or form sentences. Of course this didn’t work most of the time and I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating this time period was for me. Finally they inserted a voice box into the tract in my neck. I could now talk and communicate. For the first time I saw how important my voice was and I began to learn not to take anything for granted again. As soon as I was able to talk I began glorying the Lord. I told everyone who came into my room (including the people who dumped the trash) about the two angels that appeared to me. I witnessed about Jesus Christ and everyone could see the joy and happiness I had for Him in bringing me back to life. The reaction from people was mixed, but I didn’t care. I was so happy to be alive and so glad that God had a purpose for me that I continued to witness until I was discharged from the hospital on January 26, 2008. Now I am witnessing through this article which I hope is published for millions to read. Heart Patient watches own Blotched By-Pass By Charlie R. Brown F. Fries, an Ohio native experienced his first heart attack at 37 years of age. Heart diseases were not the norm in his unusually healthy family. Mr. Fries was the first in his family to experience heart problems. He was told at the initial diagnosis that it was merely a situation of pulled muscles surrounding the heart. Eventually, the situation and pain problems became more frequent, resulting in hospitalization. Mr. Fries was rushed immediately into preparation for contiguous surgery. It was immediately after receiving the anesthetic that Mr. Fries allegedly left his body, rising slowly about four feet above the operating table. Mr. Fries reportedly witnessed the opening of his chest cavity revealing an enlarged heart. “I hovered above my body watching every move of the surgeon's scalpel”, Mr. Fries said, somewhat despondent. I questioned the tone in his voice and he continued. “I saw the scalpel slip and puncture my lung”, he continued. “ I also witnessed about half my lung being removed and seared together with silver nitrate. The pain was excruciating. I felt every second of it”. he added. Mr. Fries wondered why part of the lung was being removed. Five of his ribs were broken in the pre-operation preparation. During the operation, a sixth rib was broken and removed completely, leaving only a ragged stub. After Mr. Fries awoke in recovery, he asked for his dentures and glasses. The nurse could not locate them and came back with no possible explanation as to what could have happened to them. Mr. Fries told her the teeth and glasses were placed on a shelf directly behind his head. The nurse explained to Mr. Fries that he could not possibly have known where the items were as Mr. Fries was under the anesthetic. Mr. Fries explained that only moments after receiving the anesthetic, he floated out of his body and hovered only feet above the operating table for the entire operation. He witnessed everything. Moments later, the nurse returned with Mr. Fries teeth and glasses. “I don't understand how you could have known that; I don't understand”, she said, “but it is eerie and gives me chills”. Mr. Fries added, “I also know about the episode with the lung”. After recovery, Mr. Fries reports calling the surgeon with his allegations. The surgeon called it absurd, and refused further dialog. According to the surgeon, only minor scar tissue was removed from the lung and therefore, the issue was dismissed. It wasn't until two years later after a car accident that Mr. Fries had the necessity of more X-rays. The nurse told Mr. Fries that it appeared as though in addition to major quadruple by-pass surgery, he also had almost half a lung removed. Mr. Fries, played coy and agreed, asking jokingly to see the X-rays. As a paramedic, Mr. Fries recognized that half his lung had been removed. It was reported that a young girl had been waiting for a lung the same time as Mr. Fries surgery. It appeared that she mysteriously received one. After weeks and months of trying to retrieve X-rays, medical records, etc., Mr. Fries felt he was ready to present his findings to a medical mal-practice lawyer. His first two interviews were with attorneys who admitted being golf partners with the surgeon and claimed a conflict of interest prohibited them from taking his case. Other lawyers asked Mr. Fries if he had X-rays showing that he actually had two full lungs prior to surgery. After six years of exhaustive effort, Mr. Fries finally admitted defeat. “It reminds me of when I bought four new nail-proof tires for my car”. “After taking my car to a local garage for tune-up, I got the car back with four completely different tires”. After confronting the mechanic, the garage owner said, “do you have photographic proof that the four tires you got back were not the same four you had when you came in”? “If not, bug off and stop bugging me”. Thankfully, the garage is no more. He was eventually caught and prosecuted. The same should happen to unscrupulous doctors. “ Perhaps there is justice somewhere, but I no longer think she is blind”. INTENT is one of the basic forces that permeate the multi-dimensional universe. Decisions that affect our future are made in the realm of the SPIRIT, our mind only thinks that it made the decision and must carry it out. The mind thinks it is in control and will resort to many tricks to maintain its illusion and its self-importance in the struggle to maintain control at any cost. The Brain is to the body as the MIND is to this reality as the SPIRIT is to the SOUL. This simplifies a lot, but it is a working concept that can be used to describe that which is beyond words. Remember: Words belong to this REALITY which is made by words used to describe the thoughts that maintain it. INTENT must be beckoned by use of the eyes and a point near the navel. Feel yourself reaching out from them for INTENT and say with a clear loud voice, “I INTEND TO_____________” three times. Don’t be bashful or shy. This is one of the secrets of this life. Why ? . . . Why is it so hard to talk about God but yet so easy to talk about nasty stuff? Why is it so boring to look at a Christian magazine but yet so easy to look at a nasty one? Why is it so easy to delete a Godly e-mail but yet we forward all of the nasty ones? Why are the churches getting smaller but yet the bars and dance clubs are getting larger? Do you give up? Think about it ... WE EXIST IN THE PRESENT BUT LIVE IN THE PAST by J/Wizard We all live in the past. Ever wonder why when a group of people witness something, they each give a different description of what happened. Are they lying? No, they just recollected or “remembered” the event differently. Whenever we see anything, it had already happened. It takes time, about a sixteenth of a second for our brain to register anything that we see or hear. We do not see things as they are; we see them as the brain interprets them. The five common senses that we use to relate to our external world send bio-electrical pulses to our brain, which in turn attempts to translate them into information that we can understand. Reality is more subjective than objective. we see things as our brain interprets them, not as they are. For example, when we watch TV we are really seeing three dots of light streaking across the screen 625 times (in the US, 525 overseas) a second. It is the time delay due to our eyes and brain which enables us to “see” a picture where there are only moving dots of light. If we could see things as they are, then we could see the atoms, molecules and vibration waves that make up this reality. Our extreme senses are tuned only to a very small part of the energy or vibration fields that make up the universe. We must use our internal senses to overcome this illusion and know that we are part of the Greatest Reality which is Awareness, which is God. We forget that we are God, so that we can come to this earth to play. When it is time to “go home”, we go back to God. This life is only a side-trip on the spiritual path going back to God. The Black Magicians wish us to forget who we really are so they can enslave us for their own physical, emotional, psychic and financial gain. The trip back home to God is free, it is our birthright. I can read scanned palms from the computer. I am the only Palmist in the world who reads as a guest on a radio show, scanned palms live on the air. I entertain the listening audience with a true picture of those being read.
Did you know that personal growth is always a personal decision? To attract positive energy in a relationship we have to think and feel positive. If you can love yourself and those around you then you will be drawn to and learn from yourself. You are your only problem and the only way to fix that problem is for you to find the solution to it. The answer to every single problem in this world is CHANGE.
Change is inevitable. Change is what makes the world go around. There is change every second, every minute, every hour. In palmistry the hand’s lines change when the person has experiences that are exciting, happy or unpleasant times. All changes can be detected on the palm. Everything that happens to an individual that makes an impressioin on their mind is reflected on their hand in the area where the changes occurred.
Life’s challenges can be the impetus to transform old, self-limiting beliefs and grow. In a relaxed, accepting environment, change becomes the adventure it was designed to be. Everything is energy. We each put out our own distinctive energy. The earth gives back energy. If we move to a new location, change a job or begin doing new activities our energy stays the same but the energy from the earth coming toward us is changed. Usually these kinds of change cause what we hope to accomplish. 
There are five basic areas discussed in every palm reading session I conduct. Because I interpret the lines on the hand employing the modality called Oriental Palmistry, it does not coincide with the modern systems and methods many Palmists use today. Oriental Palmistry was first used in the year 3000 BC and is an authentic method used to study the lines in a hand. Hindu Indian Palmistry dates to 2000 BC and it is the most commonly used method of hand analysis known to most people. Both methods “get” the same answers, just looked at differently by the Palm Reader. Verbage is called out in other words but the representations are the same. For instance in Hindu Indian Palmistry the reader discusses the Heart line, Head line and Fate line while Oriental Palmistry does not use these terms.
In Oriental Palmistry the five main lines found on every human palm are: Life line, Love line, Work line, Reproduction and Bracelets.
The Life line depicts the birth, health and longevity of an individual. Illnesses, trips to the hospital, and life-threatening disease or accidents are found on the Life line. This line runs parallel to the fingers. A fork at the end of the Life line shows creative thinking processes. If this line were to be measured, each finger is counted as twenty years while the space between is counted as ten years in calculating the person’s time on earth this time around.
The Love line begins with puberty. Whether an early or a late bloomer, the Love line reveals the entire and true story of what happened and what is happening in the person’s heart at this time in their life. A past romantic history, highlights, engagements, lost loves, triumphs, and even celebrations are found on the Love line. This line is on the palm running from the thumb side of the hand toward the center of the hand. Wishbone-shaped marks equal connections in love.
The Soul Mate symbol is located by the wrist, and is usually a pyramid or a pillow-shaped area. It shows the possibility of re-uniting with someone from another time zone on this planet in reincarnation. This is a person who bonds with you and connects in many ways such as mentally, emotionally, religiously, spiritual, sexual and physical attraction.
The Work line shows a person’s abilities, talents and the amount of energy and effort given to the workplace. It shows the work future in one’s life. Raises, terminations, businesses lost or new jobs begun are easily discovered by searching the Work line. Palmistry offers excellent ways to solve the dilemma and find out what one is best suited to in a profession. Usually one gravitates to the type of work they feel the happiest in or to a job that they think they would enjoy. The Work lines are on the area just under the thumb.
Reproduction marks are located on the baby finger, nestled at the joint, and represent the possibilities, (the number of children), one can produce. Male lines are vertical, female lines are horizontal.
EXAMPLE: A man may have six markings on his baby finger while his mate has only two. Their fate: to reproduce two times; the female provides the eggs while the male determines the sex of the baby.
The Bracelets are found on every human being. The first row on the wrist next to the palm is representative of the first twenty-five years in a lifetime. The second row, next twenty-five years, etc. The Bracelets are composed of shapes like the letter “c”, elongated. When a person must find a solution to a problem, or make a decision, the “c” closes and becomes an “o”. The average person has four knotty problems to settle from the age of sixteen to twenty-five.
Numerous miscellaneous lines can be found on the palm. A partial listing: “X” symbol, Guardian Angels, Good Luck, Mystic Cross, Giving Lines, Personality Traits, Creativity, Abilities, Talent, Island, Dot, Mystic Cross, Medical Stigmata, ESP, Teacher’s Block, Stripes, Grilles, Old Soul, Poison Line, and Simian Line. Grounding, Focusing and Centering are also present on the palm along with Lessons Learned and New Beginnings.

DIARY OF A PALM READER Dikki-Jo Mullen Robin Hood’s Full Moon Horoscope Brings A Cosmic Message For Today! (May 27 2010 7:07 PM EDT Full Moon at 6 Sagittarius 33’) By Dikki-Jo Mullen, Astrologer A home town hero returns from fighting an unpopular war in the Middle East. The country is in a chaotic state, the people resent unfair taxes, many are losing their homes. Sources of livelihood are vanishing. Bands of criminals roam the land and few feel safe. The Sheriff is intensely disliked, even feared, by many. The country’s resources are drained by treacherous foreign elements. Civil unrest may soon lead to revolution. The sovereignty of the very nation is at stake. The King is thought to be evil. Groups of well intentioned activists intent upon fighting greed, vow to take from the rich and give to the poor. Sound familiar? It could be a clip from tonight’s evening news. Or is it the prelude to Robin Hood, the most enduring of romantic adventure stories? The Full Moon in Sagittarius shows the Archer of the Zodiac’s arrow targeting the bull‘s eye. USA Today (see the Life Section) gives the throne, the Number One Spot in the film world, to Robin Hood. Starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchet, this newly released latest version of the beloved legendary archer repeats a message that began as a ballad. The Adventures of Robin Hood retells an inspirational life story from long ago, in 12th Century England. King Richard I, the Lionheart, began a Crusade. He bankrupted his country taking troops and resources across Europe and the Middle East to Jerusalem in order to recapture the Holy Land from the Muslims. Returning home, broken and defeated, he was cornered by enemies in Europe and held hostage. Three years of his nation’s entire revenue was needed to finally ransomed the King who soon died, leaving the people bankrupt and without a strong leader. After Richard’s death his unpopular and treacherous younger brother, known as evil King John, levied overwhelming taxes and other abuses upon the realm. Robin Hood, a skilled marksman who was probably a soldier returning from the Crusade, led the people in protest. With a group of supporters and his true love, Maid Marian with the Merry Men, Robin Hood began to set things to rights. Isn’t there something of Robin Hood in all of us? The urge to be heroic, to put things right by taking from the rich to give to the poor is irresistible. Today Nottingham Forest near Yorkshire, England is only about 1.25 square miles in size, in Robin Hood’s time it covered at least 300 square miles. Still, visitors from all over the world visit to pay homage to Robin Hood‘s memory and legend. The town of Nottingham has a whole tourist industry which receives a fresh boost with each new Robin Hood interpretation. The current Robin Hood shares the Greenwood of Nottingham Forest with a host of charismatic predecessors. The Medieval story of Piers Plowman first introduces Robin Hood as a literary figure. In the late 14th Century Wynkyn de Worde’s “A Lytell Gest of Robyn Hode” was the first printed version and set the pace for many to follow. In 1922 Douglas Fairbanks Jr. was a lithe and romantic Robin Hood, In 1938 Errol Flynn followed. The 1950’s brought Richard Greene ’s Merry Adventures of Robin Hood to the television screen. In 1976 Sean Connery called a retired Robin out for one last adventure, followed by Kevin Costner in 1991 and Mel Brooks’ 1993 parody, Men in Tights. Robin Hood is a universal concept, reflecting deep truths about the human condition. Maid Marian, Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck, Alan a Dale, Little John and of course the sinister Sheriff of Nottingham have all become archetypal figures. Astrology students can make an intriguing study of relating them each to planetary energies. There is an historical record of one Robin Fitzooth, Lord Loxley born about 1160 who was treacherously betrayed and killed on November 18, 1247, who might have been the original model for the beloved figure dressed in green with a hat topped by a jaunty red feather. However creating a natal horoscope in the usual sense for Robin Hood would be highly speculative. An event chart which can be used to examine the cosmic influences of a time period which mirrors today’s world can be prepared by considering the time when Evil King John was forced by a group of government officials and noblemen to sign the Magna Carta, or Great Charter/Letter. It was on June 15, 1215 (Old Style Calendar) in Runnymede (near London) when this document instituted the model for democratic government, the rights to a fair trial and the limiting of some of the absolute rule by a monarch. It is thought that a kind of guerilla warfare in the Greenwood led by a Robin Hood like character encouraged this. Although King John tried to nullify and destroy the document immediately after signing it, the Magna Carta survived, revised a number of times. Using a noon chart, the event map for the Magna Carta shows Uranus (planet of freedom and progress) at 0 degrees of Libra, Square an exact Sun-Venus conjunction at 0 Cancer with the Moon in the humanitarian and socially conscious sign of Aquarius. Neptune in Aries shows a wide cardinal sign T-Square. A Jupiter in Pisces opposition to Saturn in Virgo is repeated in a current May of 2012 transit pattern. The sky picture has some worthwhile parallels with present day situations. Uranus will enter Aries for the first time in 84 years on the night of the powerful Robin Hood Full Moon. Aries is the start of the zodiac, the springtime of a new cycle, the planet of surprises. Uranus will square Pluto, conjoin Jupiter and oppose Saturn. Saturn is also close to a square with Pluto, the planet of ecology and Earth Changes. The summer eclipse pattern in Capricorn and Cancer underscores these hard angle cardinal sign aspects. Not since The Great Depression of the 1930’s has there been a star pattern resembling this one. Serious students of astrology can set up the event chart using the data given above for the Magna Carta’s signing and make some comparisons. Economic and vast social changes are imminent. Hold on for the wild ride through the Greenwood, which is symbolic of a new and unfamiliar reality. My colleague, Sandye Sievers, new President of the North Florida Astrological Association in Jacksonville, has some wonderful thoughts to share about this pattern in her front page feature in Starward, the NFAA Newsletter. Paraphrasing Sandye’s article which she paraphrases from a feature by Theodore White … “With the Saturn-Pluto squares close at hand, here are some ways you can neutralize them. Increase your attention span. (Robin Hood the Archer focuses on the target) Use free will, make inroads on smaller levels, without resorting to cutting corners, cheating or taking advantage out of frustration. (Help the poor in spirit and pocket book a little at a time) Prepare for the next decade. Is it time to relocate? (Where is your own Greenwood, a place of peace, how can you help the green energies grow?) Seek new opportunities. (There are many creatures and forest people circumstances in need, many ways to give what you can.) Don’t give in to the need to rush, patience is essential. (Wait and Watch, enjoy daily life deep in the forest) Positive purposes involve study, research, networking. (Reach out to your own connections, find Maid Marian, the Merry Men)” Now call upon the adventurous and ideal spirit of Robin Hood as you go forward and navigate the Forest. It’s time to always look forward to the future, never back at the past.
The Sabian Symbol for 6-7 degrees of Sagittarius is “Cupid, Knocking At The Door”, this suggests a magical arrow piercing the heart. What is your heart’s desire? The Sabian Symbol for the opposing Sun’s degree at 6-7 Gemini is “ An Old fashioned Well”, suggesting going within for traditional sources of sustenance as well underscoring the importance of water. The small fixed star Han, situated near the knee of the Archer in the Constellation Ophiuchi, is within two degrees of this lunation. With a nature of Saturn and Venus, Han is linked to questions of credibility. Be perfectly honest in all dealings and make a special effort to keep good company. Ailments or injuries of the leg and thigh region as well as liver function and blood pressure can be of concern for some. Pay attention to these areas to assure wellness. As a postscript, I am adding the following as something to ponder. Psychic powers are abilities much like cognitive powers in important ways. Often, it is not enough to practice just enough to reach the point where you can say, I'm psychic. You might end up being like the student, who had fine scores on all the admission tests, failing in college. The student bewails, "How could this happen? I'm so smart!" You can be so psychic, and still fail to get messages from those in Spirit. Getting the nack for it is just the start, usually needing the follow through of strong, persistent effort. One of the most basic facts across all worlds is, there is a price for everything! The more time you spend strengthening the connections between you and those in Spirit, the more likely you are to get messages from them. Sure, your dearly departed are around you just as they were in life. Yet, the barrier between you and them is bigger now. You are in the material, whereas they are in the spiritual. Usually your sixth sense is not as developed as your basic five, so they come through much less vividly. It just takes more effort now for you to bridge the gap. Not that I am taking back any of what I'm sharing in my other article. Yes, we do need to keep our expectations realistic, and even more so, respect those in Spirit. After all their struggles on the physical plane, they are entitled to their limitless rest, if they prefer, undisturbed by us. Also, besides responding to those left behind in the physical, they might be preparing for reincarnation. But, on the other hand, they might want a stronger connection with us, so we should put more effort into keeping the lines strong and clear. How do we do this? Some respected authorities in the metaphysical field recommend setting a certain time aside each day to connect with those in Spirit. That is a great start, but if at all possible, we need to do more. The once-a-day approach is like the visiting hour in a place of confinement. Do we want our relationships with those in Spirit to be like visiting a sick relative or a friend in the hospital? What weak, sickly relationships that might result in! Something we can try is, including those in Spirit in our meal times. During life, meals are when loved ones so often get together. Why not let it continue to be a time when we get together with our beloved in Spirit? Leave a seat at the table for any of them, so that they feel welcome to share. They can take turns in the seat, if they like! Leave times for silence at the table, so you can catch messages they might want to share. At the heart of all this is, maintaining and enhancing those connections, as cords you can visualize extending from your heart to them. In the book, Alchemical Healing, Bear & Company, by Nicki Scully, you can read her fine chapter on exercises to help you make the transition from the selfishness of your will to the wise compassion of your heart. That connection between you and your beloved in Spirit must be a fully loving connection for it to really work, from your heart, not your head. It can't be a logical, either/or thing, where some people in some ways are good and in other ways bad, and where there are people either all bad or all good. It must be a connection cleared and strengthened through forgiveness. You give those in Spirit the chance to forgive you, and you in turn give them up any traces of bad feelings you might have buried within you against them. Love, Radko.
